About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex backend systems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Java application enhancements, managing the full lifecycle of software changes, and ensuring system performance and reliability. You will lead resolution efforts for production incidents, provide technical mentorship to offshore team members, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams through Agile methodologies. Your expertise in microservices architecture, REST APIs, and cloud technologies will be instrumental in delivering scalable and efficient solutions that meet client needs. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
6+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including extensive work with Spring Framework (Boot, Batch, Data JPA)
Proven experience with microservices architecture and REST API development
Experience with messaging tools such as Apache Kafka
Working knowledge of Kubernetes; Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) experience preferred
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, code review practices, and unit testing
Exceptional communication skills with a proactive, accountable, and collaborative approach
Ability to quickly adapt to new technical challenges and study existing codebases effectively
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Java application enhancements, ranging from minor updates to major system improvements
Lead the resolution of production incidents and service requests, ensuring critical issues are addressed within a 15-minute SLA during business hours
Own the full lifecycle of software changes, including development, testing, deployment, and securing necessary approvals
Enhance backend microservices and REST APIs, perform defect fixes, and execute necessary technical upgrades
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore team members, helping to resolve blockers and guide prioritization
Participate actively in daily Scrum meetings and collaborative sessions, adhering to best practices for code review, testing, and CI/CD workflows
Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance across all deliverables
