The Cloud System Administrator supports a service-oriented, customer-focused IT organization that delivers secure, reliable, and modern cloud-based technologies for the James Campbell Company (JCC). This role is responsible for the administration, monitoring, security, and continual enhancement of JCC’s cloud-first productivity and collaboration platforms, with primary responsibility for Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Power Platform, and Copilot).
The Cloud System Administrator works closely with development/construction, asset management, investment management, and corporate support teams to ensure cloud services are dependable, secure, and aligned with business workflows—supporting collaboration, governance, automation, and ongoing digital transformation.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Deliver reliable cloud services through proactive administration, monitoring, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Provide responsive, solution-oriented support while maintaining strong service standards and clear communication.
Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize work, reduce operational risk, and improve user experience.
Administer Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for M365-related issues including identity, email, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive sync, and permissions problems.
Follow structured ticketing/work tracking processes to support transparency, service levels, and workload management.
Perform tenant configuration, service health monitoring, feature enablement, and lifecycle management of cloud services.
Manage user lifecycle tasks: onboarding/offboarding, licensing, identity assignments, group and mailbox management.
Maintain and enforce configuration standards (Teams policies, SharePoint site provisioning norms, external sharing controls, collaboration settings).
Identity, Access & Security Operations (Entra ID / Cloud Security)
Administer Entra ID identity services including authentication methods, role-based access, conditional access, and identity governance.
Support Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls, including audit logging, retention policies, sensitivity labeling, and DLP configuration.
Assist with identity-related incident response and remediation (risky sign-ins, phishing impacts, excessive permissions, compromised accounts).
Collaboration, Content Services & Information Governance.
Administer and support SharePoint Online and Teams environments, including permissions, information architecture, and content lifecycle.
Support company-wide document management through SharePoint/Teams, including integrations with third-party systems such as Yardi Voyager.
Improve structure, metadata, and governance models to enhance content organization and searchability.
Promote effective knowledge management and collaboration practices across the organization.
Automation, Innovation & Digital Enablement
Create and maintain automation using Power Automate and PowerShell to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
Support development of simple low-code solutions using Power Apps and Microsoft 365 capabilities.
Monitor the Microsoft 365 roadmap, evaluate new features, and recommend enhancements that improve security, collaboration, and productivity.
Support organizational readiness and adoption of modern AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
Vendor, Licensing & Configuration Management
Manage licensing assignments for Microsoft 365 and support cost optimization through usage reviews.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve escalations, manage service changes, and ensure cloud reliability.
Maintain configuration documentation, baseline standards, and change logs for cloud services.
Service & Partnership
Partner with business units to understand needs and translate them into secure, supportable cloud solutions.
Deliver training, documentation, and adoption support for Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Platform tools.
Support communication and change management efforts for new features and service enhancements.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Preferred:
Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-900, SC-900, AZ-900, PL-900.
Experience
Minimum:
3+ years of experience in systems administration, cloud administration, or SaaS platform support.
2+ years of hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Entra ID).
Experience supporting identity and access controls, cloud security best practices, and operational troubleshooting.
