Our first shop opened in 1981 in Penzance, selling durable clothing to artists and mariners. Today, we’re a modern, data-enabled omnichannel retailer with a growing international presence. We blend heritage with innovation, designing timeliness clothing made from responsibility sourced fabrics, and using technology to improve how we operate, grow and serve customers.

As we scale in the UK, North America and Europe, we’re looking for a Director of International Partnerships to lead our International and UK partnership sales channel. Managing and developing our partnerships with department stores, online marketplaces and key accounts, you’ll be at the heart of our ambitious growth strategy.

Please note this role is based remotely within the UK, with occasional international and UK travel, including to our Cornwall head offices.

You’ll help us by:

Developing and executing the annual strategy across markets, channels, accounts and business models, ensuring a consistent and cohesive market development plan.
Developing and implementing annual Partner, Country and international region sales plans to drive revenue growth, maximise profitability and optimise efficiency.
Collaborating with key support and operations functions across the organisation to ensure their strategies, processes, and resources enable the delivery of the partnership objectives.
Playing a central role in the preparation and management of the annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
Establishing areas of new channel growth, including development of new business and partner models that meet current and future market requirements.
Proactively managing the business development pipeline, seeking out new growth opportunities in line with our international expansion strategy objectives.
Leading negotiations and on-boarding of new partners, ensuring all functions are informed and able to operate in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.
Using your established network to introduce the brand to new contacts and secure partnerships, whilst actively seeking new connections in target markets.
In partnership with other channel leaders, ensuring a consumer focused omni-channel view is always maintained and minimise channel conflicts through transparency, coordination, and communication.
Leading the team to drive clear accountabilities, maximising performance through our people in a way that is consistent with our culture and values.

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:

A strategic senior manager with experience in budget management, strategy execution, and proven success in building and leading cross-functional virtual teams.
Significant previous experience of sales and partner management within fashion, lifestyle, sports or outdoor.
A strong network of retail clothing business connections established in Europe, North America, and the UK with experience in developing markets.
Personal experience in leading negotiations, onboarding, and operations with major online marketplaces and leading national department stores.
Previous management of partnership models including concessions, consignment, dropship, distributors, wholesale and clearance.
People-focused leader with strong leadership skills and proven success in leading, coaching and developing a motivated team.
A strong communicator with well-developed influencing and presentation skills, able to present facts, opinions, and proposals persuasively to a variety of audiences that gains confidence, buy-in and commitment to making things happen.
Supportive of the need to constantly update, change and move business forward, able to work at pace to deliver required changes and make tangible differences.
