Who You Will Work With:
The Technology & Operations Intern (e-Transfer) will support the AppOps team in coordinating and executing software releases, working closely with development, QA, and operations teams. This role is ideal for candidates interested in technical release management, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You Will Do:
Assist in developing and maintaining release schedules, ensuring alignment with business goals and project timelines.
Support coordination between development, QA, and operations teams for timely and smooth releases.
Help facilitate release readiness reviews and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Create and manage change tickets following change management procedures, ensuring documentation and approvals.
Ensure releases comply with regulatory requirements, security standards, and organizational policies.
Serve as a point of contact for release-related activities under supervision.
Help implement and refine release management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Identify and document release-related risks and issues; assist in developing contingency plans.
Support automation of release processes to reduce manual intervention.
Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Foster a collaborative environment and encourage cross-functional teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Take ownership of tasks during the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
Communicate release plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at various levels.
What You Bring:
Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Foundational understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
Strong verbal, written, and analytical communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate data-driven insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated learner with a strong drive for continuous improvement and the ability to independently research and apply new solutions.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams, translating stakeholder objectives into actionable outcomes.
Creative and adaptable problem-solving mindset with the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and operational excellence.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or other cloud computing environments.
Familiarity with containers and virtual machines.
Experience or coursework with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, ITIL principles, and IT service management best practices.
Experience or academic exposure to Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar CRM/service management tools.
Interest in automation, process optimization, and technical release management.
What We’re Offering:
The hourly pay range for this position is $21 to $23, and the internship term runs from May to August 2026. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge. An internship opportunity at Interac also features:
