Senior Java Developer
6-12 Month Contract
Location: London (4-5 days/week onsite)
Competitive Day Rate

A Senior Java Developer is required to join a specialist capital markets consultancy delivering data-driven solutions to Tier 1 investment banks and global financial institutions. With deep capital markets expertise and a collaborative consulting model, the firm delivers bespoke data solutions aligned to industry best practices.

You will design, develop, and enhance core components of the FX e-trading ecosystem, including real-time pricing and distribution engines, auto-hedging and risk management functionality, integration with market connectivity and existing trading systems, and front-to-back trading flow optimisation, while contributing to architectural decisions, performance optimisation, and continuous delivery initiatives to ensure systems meet the demands of high-volume, low-latency trading environments.

Required Skills & Experience

10 years of experience as a Java Developer within investment banking or financial markets
Hands-on experience delivering FX Cash and electronic trading solutions
Expertise in Core Java and backend/server-side development
Designing and building low-latency, multi-threaded systems
SQL development and data modelling
Agile methodologies and object-oriented design principles
Strong knowledge of FX cash products and end-to-end front-to-back trading processes
