Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Developer Experience Team supporting software development and deployment operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location:Rockville, Maryland
Pay Range: $82-85 depending on experience
What's the Job?
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery processes.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Manage containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, ensuring smooth orchestration in production environments.
Implement and support monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
Collaborate with development teams to improve workflows, automate tasks, and enhance developer productivity through innovative solutions.
What's Needed?
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux/Unix administration and DevOps practices.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, or Github Actions, including pipeline design and maintenance.
Experience with source control management using Bitbucket, Gitlab, or Git, including managing workflows and resolving merge conflicts.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS, with experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, Go, Rust, or Javascript for automation tasks.
