Optomi, in partnership with a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a Data Analyst to support our Finance reporting team. This role will focus on writing SQL queries, analyzing datasets to uncover trends and insights, and partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to solve business problems. The ideal candidate enjoys exploring data, asking thoughtful questions, and translating business needs into actionable analysis.

Job Qualifications:

Strong experience writing SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Hands-on experience working with enterprise data warehouse platforms such as: Snowflake (preferred), Teradata, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, or BigQuery.
Experience performing data analysis and validating datasets to support business decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous business questions.
Experience gathering requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to communicate findings clearly to business audiences.

Job Responsibilities:

Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from enterprise data warehouses.
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights for Finance stakeholders.
Support recurring and ad-hoc reporting initiatives for financial and operational metrics.
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
Analyze complex business problems and present clear, structured findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reporting processes.
Document data logic, reporting definitions, and analytical methodologies.
