A well-funded fintech startup is rebuilding core infrastructure in the global derivatives and capital markets space, replacing legacy systems with modern, AI-native, cloud-first technology. Founded by leaders from top trading firms and financial institutions, the team is creating a next-generation platform used by banks, hedge funds, and asset managers to manage complex transactions at scale.

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll take real ownership of the UI for a data-heavy, institutional platform. You’ll design and build interactive, data-rich interfaces, develop reusable components and scalable patterns, and integrate APIs that power complex workflows. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to ship quality features quickly, while influencing frontend architecture, performance, and developer experience. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help shape a growing codebase and contribute to code reviews and technical direction.

Requirements

2+ years of modern frontend experience
Strong React, Next.js, and TypeScript skills
Experience with state management (Redux or similar)
Solid UI architecture and performance fundamentals
Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs
Ownership mindset and strong communication skills
Able to work in person in NYC

Nice to Have

Next.js SSR/SSG experience
Testing tools (Jest, RTL, Cypress)
Data visualization or complex workflows
Exposure to financial systems or capital markets
Experience with enterprise or multi-permission products
Familiarity with AI coding assistants

Compensation

$150K–$185K base + meaningful early-stage equity
