Interim Head of Technology & Data (6‑Month Assignment)

We are supporting a leading pensions administration provider seeking an accomplished Interim Head of Technology & Data to steer their digital, data and platform strategy through a period of transformation and operational refinement.

The mandate

As Interim Head of Technology & Data, you will take ownership of the organisation’s technology strategy, core administration platforms, digital interfaces and data architecture. You’ll provide senior leadership across platform engineering, data, digital, development, and project delivery teams, while acting as the executive escalation point for technology risk, resilience and performance.

You’ll balance strategic modernisation with day‑to‑day operational stability, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, scalable and fully aligned with client expectations.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking an interim leader with:

Significant technology leadership experience in a pensions administration or adjacent regulatory, contract‑driven service environment.
Proven ability to deliver technology change within a live operational setting.
Deep knowledge of pensions administration systems, complex DB benefits, or high‑volume transactional platforms.
Strong understanding of information security, data protection, operational resilience and regulatory assurance.
A collaborative, stakeholder‑driven leadership style.

A substantial advantage:

Experience owning or overseeing a shared pensions administration platform supporting multiple schemes with varied benefit structures.
