We are a leading recruitment firm working on their behalf to find an exceptional Lead Back-End Engineer to drive the development of their cutting-edge platform.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Back-End Engineer to take ownership of the backend architecture, lead a team of developers, and build robust, scalable systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who is eager to work on complex regulatory challenges within the M&A and PE space.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable backend systems.
Architect and implement secure APIs and microservices to support complex financial transactions.
Collaborate with front-end developers, data scientists, and product teams to build innovative RegTech solutions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices for security and data integrity.
Optimize database performance and scalability, managing large datasets efficiently.
Drive best practices in software development, including CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Stay ahead of emerging trends in regulatory technology, cloud computing, and financial compliance.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in back-end development, with expertise in Node.js, Python, or Java.
Proven experience leading engineering teams or mentoring developers.
Strong proficiency in RESTful API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
Expertise in working with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of security best practices, encryption, and compliance in financial transactions.
Experience in designing and scaling high-performance systems for financial services, M&A, or PE transactions.
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent leadership skills.
Nice to Have:
Prior experience in RegTech, FinTech, or investment banking technology.
Knowledge of AI/ML applications in compliance solutions.
Exposure to blockchain, smart contracts, or distributed ledger technologies.
