Please note that this position can be based in San Diego, CA OR Princeton, NJ. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average.

Position Summary

This role will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex IT projects, partnering closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure that business objectives are met on time and within budget. This role will lead end-to-end project management for technology initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Independently plans, develops, and executes projects of all sizes, defining scope, timelines, budgets, deliverables, resources, and proactively managing risk and quality issues.
Defines project scope and objectives with relevant stakeholders, ensuring feasibility and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Establishes and executes effective communication plans, coordinating updates with all stakeholders affecting scope, budget, schedule, risk, and resources.
Builds and leads effective project teams, assigns work, monitors progress daily, and escalates schedule or performance issues as needed.
Develops and maintains detailed project schedules, tracks milestones, and adjusts plans or resources to meet stakeholder and timeline requirements.
Monitors project performance against short- and long-term goals, prepares status reports, and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
Manages budgets by tracking financial performance, meeting budgetary objectives, and adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis.
Oversees risk management, change requests, and vendor/third-party coordination to ensure approved changes align with scope, schedule, and budget.
Submits project deliverables for quality and gate approvals, obtains customer acceptance, and participates in continuous process review to support PMO needs.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems related field
Targeting 6 years of progressively responsible experience as an IT project manager or similar technical role(s), preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment
Project management certification (PMP) is strongly preferred
An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and present complex information clearly and effectively.
Must be able and willing to travel on occasion.

Physical Requirements

This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business needs.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.

Salary Range

$131,000—$163,600 USD
