Job Title: Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project Manager

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)

Contract Type: Contract (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 Months (likely extension)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) IT Project Manager to lead multiple concurrent IAM initiatives within a complex, enterprise‑level environment. You will oversee end‑to‑end delivery of IAM projects, ensuring technical, regulatory, and business requirements are met across a highly regulated financial organisation.

This is a hands‑on project management role focused on governance, planning, delivery, and senior‑level stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full lifecycle delivery of assigned IT and IAM projects including PIDs, schedules, budgets, governance documentation, quality management, and release planning.
Oversee 4–6 simultaneous IAM projects, such as: RBAC redesign, MFA rollouts
Privileged Access Management (PAM) initiatives
Attestation and access review workflows
Work closely with business sponsors, PMO, and cross‑regional liaison teams to develop business cases and ROI to support project prioritisation.
Track progress against milestones, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and aligned to business requirements.
Coordinate deployment and release activities across technical teams.
Prepare reporting and presentations for Steering Committees, senior IT leadership, and C‑suite‑level forums.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple offices and time zones.
Manage internal and external resources in a matrix delivery environment.
Lead vendor management activities including contract negotiation, statements of work, and SLAs.
Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years’ experience delivering IT projects or programmes in complex enterprise environments.
Proven background managing large‑scale IAM projects.
Strong hands‑on knowledge of IAM technologies, ideally including One Identity Manager, SailPoint, Okta, or similar platforms.
Deep understanding of IAM principles: RBAC & ABAC, SSO / MFA, PAM
Directory Services (AD / Azure AD)
Compliance frameworks such as SOX and GDPR
Project management certifications (APM, PMP, etc.).
Strong understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Solid understanding of IT functions and financial market environments.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to present complex information clearly.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail, prioritisation skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Strong analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
Nice to have: CISSP, and experience with One Identity by Quest.

Working Model

Hybrid contract role
3 days per week in the London office (required)
Flexible remote working for the remaining days
