We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager – Azure Infrastructure (Full-Time Contractor) in Stamford, CT. Seeking Experienced Project Manager for Enterprise Azure Platform Migration. This is a one year contract with possible extension. Full time 40 hours per week. Hybrid schedule.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in migrating Azure infrastructure solutions for enterprise-level, business-critical platforms. This role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a multi-environment Azure infrastructure supporting internal employee use and external access through a secure portal, leveraging Azure Front Door for global scalability and reliability.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end global project management for the design, build, and migration of Azure infrastructure supporting enterprise business platforms.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and partners to gather requirements and define project scope for multiple environments (development, staging, production, etc.).
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful delivery within agreed deadlines and budget.
Oversee the implementation of Azure Front Door, ensuring secure and efficient access to the platform via the customer portal.
Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues promptly to maintain continuity and platform stability.
Ensure adherence to enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and present status updates, documentation, and post-migration reports to senior leadership and technical teams.
Drive continuous improvement of design by identifying opportunities to optimize Azure infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of project management experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud solutions.
Demonstrated experience migrating and/or designing enterprise-level Azure platforms with multiple environments.
Strong understanding of Azure services, including Azure Front Door, networking, security, and resource management.
Experience managing platforms accessed via portals by employees and external users.
Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) preferred.
Pay range and compensation package:
$50.00 - $55.00 Hourly Rate. After 6 months you will earn a few PTO days and some paid holidays.
