Are you ready to lead one of Hays’ largest global client relationships and shape the future of work?

We’re looking for a Strategic Account Director to drive long‑term growth, deepen executive‑level partnerships, and deliver innovative workforce solutions for a major strategic client.

This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role where you’ll partner directly with senior stakeholders across the client organisation and collaborate internationally across Hays.

What You’ll Do

As our Strategic Account Director, you will:

Own the long‑term success, growth and commercial performance of a major global account
Build deep, trusted relationships across HR, Procurement, IT and senior leadership
Lead a multi‑year strategic plan that expands market share and strengthens partnership
Align cross‑functional and international teams within a complex matrix environment
Use insight, data and performance metrics to shape priorities and strategic initiatives
Ensure Hays delivers innovative, future‑focused workforce solutions
Drive account‑based engagement strategy using Salesforce and related tools
Maintain strong governance, commercial discipline, and contract compliance
Champion collaboration across Hays to bring the best of our global expertise to the client

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

Proven success managing and growing senior strategic client relationships
Strong influencing, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills
Confidence presenting to and engaging with senior stakeholders
Experience in strategy, planning, workforce solutions, or business development
Commercial acumen with the ability to balance short‑term wins and long‑term vision
Ability to operate in a large, complex, international matrix environment
A proactive, agile, and highly accountable approach
Leadership qualities that motivate, inspire, and bring teams together
