Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Architect for a Contract to Hire position with our Fortune 500 banking client. No C2C Please
Rate: $80 - $90/hr. W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Location: Charlotte, NC- onsite 3 days a week
Details:
Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.
Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies.
May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
Architecting for high throughput, low latency, zero downtime and zero data loss using a microservices architecture.
Cloud-native design and Domain Driven Design
Container design and deployment strategies
Experience:
Modern tech stack (cloud, OpenShift, Kafka, Mongo DB / Cockroach DB)
UML
Design cloud-native architecture using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Develop and optimize low-latency Core Java systems.
Lead architecture for Payments, FX, Settlements, Bonds, and Trading platforms.
Implement Linux-based performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Define system resiliency, observability, and compliance architecture.
Required Skills:
10+ years engineering/architecture experience.
OpenShift expertise.
Core Java low-latency development experience.
Linux/RHEL tuning and optimization.
Financial markets: Payments, FX, Settlements, Bonds, Trading.
Kafka/MQ messaging experience.
Cloud-native microservices experience.
Experience in global banking environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud certifications.
OpenShift admin/migration experience.
