Hiring: Release Analyst

Location: Taylor, TX (Hybrid – 2 days onsite required)

Type: Contract (6 months)

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Release Analyst with strong Change & Release Management experience supporting infrastructure and 24/7 IT operations.

This role is critical to ensuring secure, compliant, and well-governed releases across infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise systems.

If you’re comfortable running CAB meetings, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing structured release cycles — this is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Release Planning & Coordination

Lead release planning meetings across application, infrastructure, and cloud teams
Maintain structured release calendar (OS patching, security updates, cloud deployments)
Establish consistent enterprise release cadence

Release Execution & Governance

Manage end-to-end infrastructure & application release cycles
Oversee:
Windows/Linux patching
Firmware updates
Network & storage changes
System upgrades
Ensure policy, security, and compliance adherence
Track approvals and production readiness

Cloud & Automation (Preferred)

Support Azure infrastructure deployments
Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams
Exposure to CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform is a plus

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Ensure security & CIP regulatory compliance
Track KPIs (patch success rate, downtime, rollback trends)
Lead RCA & post-mortem reviews

Governance & ITSM

Facilitate and run CAB meetings
Use ServiceNow & Jira for change/release workflows
Support ITIL processes (Change, Release, Incident, Problem Management)

What We’re Looking For

3+ years in IT Change & Release Management (infrastructure focused)
5+ years progressive experience in IT operations/infrastructure
Strong experience with:
OS patching & infrastructure upgrades
ServiceNow & Jira (both required)
SQL (joins, complex queries)
Advanced Excel (data analysis & reporting)
Experience running CAB meetings
ITIL knowledge (certification a plus, not required)

Bachelor’s degree OR 6+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree

Nice to Have

Azure experience
Ansible / Terraform
CI/CD pipelines
Scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell)
ITIL v4 Certification
