Job Description – Regulatory Change Project Manager / Senior Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Change Project Manager / Senior Consultant with strong delivery capabilities and deep exposure to financial services regulation. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of consultancy discipline, hands-on industry experience, and a proven track record delivering complex regulatory and risk-driven change across banking or asset management environments.

This role requires someone who can confidently engage stakeholders, translate regulatory requirements into practical business and technology impacts, and ensure successful end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Change Delivery

Lead the end-to-end delivery of regulatory change projects across investment banking or asset management functions.
Interpret new or existing regulatory requirements and assess business, operational, and technology impacts.
Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Operations, and Front Office teams to ensure compliance readiness.
Drive implementation plans, milestones, and workstreams with full accountability for delivery.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

Act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops, regulatory working groups, and cross-functional meetings.
Engage with industry roundtables or external forums to maintain awareness of regulatory developments.
Deliver clear, concise, and actionable communication to all levels of the organisation.

Analysis & Documentation

Research and interpret new regulatory text where knowledge gaps exist.
Prepare business requirements, regulatory impact assessments, process documentation, and implementation plans.
Work with technical teams to translate business/regulatory needs into functional and technology requirements.

Collaboration with Technology

For more technical projects, translate regulatory/business requirements into technical specifications.
Partner with engineering and architecture teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory expectations.
Support testing, validation, and readiness activities.

Required Experience

Professional Background

Consultancy background strongly preferred
Direct industry experience in investment banking or asset management.
Minimum 5 years’ experience, typically up to 10 years.
Not suitable for juniors or graduates unless part of a wider team structure.

Regulatory Expertise

Candidates should have experience in some or all of the following regulations:

MiFID / MiFIR
Consumer Duty
EU DORA
EU AI Act
T+1 Settlement
CRB6
Other capital markets or risk-related regulatory frameworks
