Business Process Analyst

Arlington, VA | Hybrid (Onsite 2x per week – DC / Ashburn)

Estimated salary: $70,000 – $84,000

Clearance Required: Active Public Trust

An opportunity is available for a Business Process Analyst to support a high-impact public sector program operating within a complex, regulated environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with users and stakeholders to translate operational needs into clear system and acquisition requirements.

The Role

You will collaborate with end users, program leadership, and delivery teams to define requirements, support acquisition documentation, and help plan future capability releases. The role involves regular engagement with client stakeholders and contributing to leadership briefings on program progress and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with user communities to validate and refine operational requirements
Capture desired system functionality and document clear functional requirements
Support release planning and contribute to product roadmaps
Gather, consolidate, and adjudicate feedback on acquisition-related documentation
Prepare concise inputs for leadership briefings on development progress and plans
Participate in client and internal meetings and support coordination across teams

Required Qualifications

Active and maintained CBP Public Trust clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in business process analysis, acquisition support, data analysis, or project planning
Experience leading discussions with stakeholders up to executive level
Strong ability to translate complex programs, processes, systems, and data into actionable insights
Proven experience managing multiple concurrent assignments with accuracy and timeliness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice to Have

Familiarity with the federal acquisition lifecycle
Experience supporting IT programs
Background in international trade or supply chain environments
Knowledge of the CBP operating environment
