Job Specifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Certification:

Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT) – Cloud Security Alliance

Experience (Minimum Required):

6+ years securing workloads in cloud and hybrid environments.
6+ years in continuous monitoring and threat detection (Splunk, Cisco Secure Analytics, Elastic Stack, etc.).
5+ years designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures (NIST 800-207).
5+ years developing and documenting Zero Trust best practices.
5+ years hands-on experience with Cisco Secure Workload.
5+ years deploying Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
Ability to travel within Alberta as required.

Nice to Have:

8+ years collaborating across cross-functional IT teams.
5+ years working in public sector or compliance-heavy environments (NIST, DoD, PCI-DSS).
Strong project documentation and reporting experience.
Experience presenting to senior leadership and executives.
Proven track record in training and knowledge transfer initiatives.

Security Requirements:

Standard Criminal Record Check (pre-clearance).
Enhanced Security Clearance
Completion of mandatory training including:
Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
Security Awareness Training
