About the role
The person we are looking for will have an analytical mindset and a love for telling stories through data. A strong data expert who enjoys interrogating large datasets to find and create insights that inform our members and stakeholders. In addition, you are curious and responsive, pay attention to detail and capable of handling competing deadlines.
In this role, you will be responsible for the management, development and analysis of a wide range of data sources—including primary research outputs, national statistics, and third party industry datasets—to deepen our understanding of advertising and the role it plays within the UK. As a data expert, you’ll collaborate closely with non- technical colleagues to provide insights in response to a variety of requests.

Without advertising, markets as we know them would cease to function; it is fundamental to the success of our economy, driving growth of businesses large and small. Advertising also funds many of the everyday services we take for granted, from search to emails to entertainment. As the role of advertising in our day-to-day lives increases so does the need for it to be both trusted and responsible.
Credos is the advertising industry’s thinktank. Established in 2010 by the Advertising Association, our mission is to evidence the value of UK advertising and inform industry efforts to be more trusted, inclusive, and sustainable. We do that through producing research and reports to understand advertising: its role, how it works, how it is perceived, and its value to UK society, culture and the economy. Credos is committed to an honest appraisal of advertising, identifying its shortcomings as well as its positive features, so that the industry can address our findings.
The Advertising Association represents the advertising industry – its members comprise of advertisers, agencies and media owners. Its purpose is to promote the role and rights of responsible advertising and how it drives growth and value for businesses, the economy, people and society. The Advertising Association also provides a conduit between the industry and Government, working with our members, Parliamentarians, civil servants, and other trade associations on policy issues affecting the advertising industry.
Credos sits within the Advertising Association, working particularly closely with the Policy and Government Affairs, Communications, and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating and managing dashboards and visualisations to enable stakeholders to self-serve.
Maintaining and proactively identifying opportunities to improve our existing data tools and pipelines.
Communicating and visualising insights in a compelling way to convey a clear story to senior stakeholders, primarily in the form of reports and PowerPoint decks.
Carry out the full range of research related tasks including data collection, survey design, primary data analysis and reporting.
Manage Credos’ quarterly newsletter, LinkedIn profile and website.
Providing technical expertise and acting as a first point of contact for analytics queries from colleagues who are not data oriented.
Developing your own analytics skills and keeping up to date with the latest industry developments.
Essential Skills:
Strong background in data analytics
Ability to leverage data to generate insights and actionable recommendations
Excellent at data storytelling, able to turn complex findings into clear, engaging narratives for different audiences
Ability to work independently and proactively as a member of a small, busy team.
Applied knowledge of quantitative research methodologies
Working proficiency in SPSS or similar statistical analysis package
Experience developing relationships with stakeholders and explaining complex data to non-technical colleagues
Clear, concise and engaging writing style
Proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset
Flexible approach and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Expert Excel user
Experience of using AI to improve working practices and proficient in using the latest LLM’s
Preferred skills:
Experience in media or advertising insight, strategy or measurement.
Strong knowledge and/or interest in UK advertising.
Applied knowledge of quantitative research methodologies

Benefits
Salary per annum £35,000-40,000 depending on experience.
22 days holiday plus bank holidays
