Security Leader | Remote

A SaaS organisation is looking to appoint a Security Leader to shape how cybersecurity risk is managed as the business continues to scale.

Security is already established within the organisation. The focus of this role is on bringing structure, clarity, and consistency to how security decisions are made across a complex, multi-product environment.

You will operate across the business to ensure cybersecurity risk is clearly understood, effectively managed, and aligned with commercial priorities.

This is a high-autonomy role in a lean setup, combining strategic oversight with close collaboration across product, engineering, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Define and evolve the organisation’s cybersecurity risk framework in line with business objectives
Lead and maintain the ISO 27001 / ISMS framework, ensuring ongoing certification and audit readiness
Translate technical risks into clear, business-relevant insights to support decision-making
Work closely with product and engineering teams to embed security into architecture and development processes
Establish and maintain risk visibility, including registers, reporting, and governance processes
Oversee third-party and supplier risk across a multi-entity SaaS environment
Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR
Drive a pragmatic approach to security culture and awareness across the organisation
Provide regular reporting and insight at the board level

What They’re Looking For

Experience operating in SaaS or cloud-based environments
Strong background in cyber risk, GRC, ISO 27001, and GDPR
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and board-level reporting
Ability to work effectively with product and engineering teams
Strong judgment and the ability to balance risk, delivery, and business outcomes
Clear communication style, able to simplify complex topics
A practical, collaborative approach to security

This is an opportunity to take ownership of cybersecurity risk within a growing SaaS software firm, with broad exposure across the organisation and visibility at the board level.

The role offers a high degree of autonomy and the chance to shape how security is approached in a way that supports both operational delivery and long-term growth.
