We're working with a leading geospatial intelligence and defense technology partner on this exciting opportunity.

Are you a security-cleared Java expert ready to build cutting-edge geospatial solutions? We are looking for two talented developers to join a high-performing Agile Scrum team, leveraging modern cloud technologies and Kubernetes to deliver impactful, high-quality software in a mission-critical environment.

The Role

Drive the full software development lifecycle from initial design to deployment of scalable cloud-based applications.
Build and maintain innovative geospatial solutions using Java and the Quarkus framework.
Collaborate within an Agile Scrum environment, participating in daily ceremonies, sprints, and code reviews to ensure excellence.
Implement DevSecOps best practices using modern tooling such as Tekton, ArgoCD, and SonarQube.
Utilize Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift to manage and orchestrate containerized applications.

What You'll Need

Active SC Security Clearance is mandatory for this requirement.
Proven professional experience in Java development and cloud services architecture.
Strong expertise in unit testing frameworks and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
Technical familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or the Quarkus framework is highly desirable.
Exposure to front-end technologies, specifically Angular, and DevSecOps pipelines (Tekton, ArgoCD) is a major plus.

What's On Offer

Competitive daily rate of £500 - £525 (Inside IR35).
Flexible hybrid working model with 2-3 days per week onsite in Newcastle or Guildford.
