eCommerce Planning Analyst
**Role Summary**
Provide data‑driven financial and operational insights to the North American eCommerce team of a global footwear brand. Analyze weekly sales, build forecasting models, deliver ad‑hoc reports, and coordinate cross‑functional execution of pre‑season and in‑season plans across DTC, wholesale, and competitive markets.
**Expectations**
- Deliver timely, accurate analysis and reporting that informs business decisions.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Commercial Planning, Inventory, Marketing, and Sales Operations to integrate planning data into unified strategies.
- Expand analytical expertise from Excel to advanced analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Power BI, and Edited.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders and present findings clearly.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Analyze weekly sales, margin, inventory versus budget, forecast, and prior‑year performance; identify risks and opportunities.
2. Create, maintain, and present ad‑hoc reports on sales activities, pricing, category performance, product sizing, site activity, and market trends.
3. Build and update forecasting tools using historical data, product plans, and market trends for pre‑season and in‑season cycles.
4. Execute plan and forecast updates in planning systems.
5. Coordinate team meetings, presentations, and documentation.
6. Foster relationships with cross‑functional partners to ensure alignment and consistency across planning and analytics processes.
7. Leverage site and consumer analytics to enhance planning accuracy and strategy.
8. Share best practices and enhance system knowledge among peers.
**Required Skills**
- Strong financial, analytical, and retail math abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to develop complex spreadsheets and dashboards.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Edited).
- Analytical mindset: trend identification, issue diagnosis, opportunity spotting.
- Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management capability.
- Self‑starter, proactive, and collaborative.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in buying, planning, inventory management, site analytics, consulting, or finance.
- No specific certification required, but experience with business intelligence tools is preferred.
