Role Description
The Director of Talent Management is responsible for talent performance, team leadership, and the operational systems that support the roster. This role works closely with company leadership and is expected to bring structure, consistency, and accountability to day-to-day talent operations.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a seasoned talent operator with strong judgment, discretion, and command of their craft. You will oversee talent managers, guide talent performance and retention, and act as a central point of alignment across creators, brands, and internal teams. Success in this role requires clarity of decision-making, operational precision, and the ability to lead with both authority and trust in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.

Salary, DOE: $100,000-$120,000
Responsibilities:
Talent Management:
Manage a select roster of talent directly, serving as a strategic lead and escalation point
Oversee overall talent performance, retention, and revenue health across the roster
Identify opportunities to strengthen underperforming talent and recommend strategic adjustments or transitions when necessary
Set and uphold standards for pitching, deal flow, negotiations, and talent positioning
Partner with leadership on monthly and quarterly talent revenue forecasting
Lead, mentor, and manage talent managers and coordinators
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and accountability check-ins
Establish expectations around responsiveness, communication quality, and follow-through
Oversee and refine talent workflows across Asana, Creator Core, and internal documentation
Maintain clear, consistent SOPs and ensure they are followed across the talent team
Ensure talent records, contracts, and campaign documentation are accurate and current
Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements to workflows and systems
Ensure creators feel informed, supported, and prioritized
Oversee content calendars, campaign timelines, and deliverable tracking
Provide strategic guidance on growth, positioning, and monetization
Lead regular performance and strategy reviews with talent
Maintain senior-level communication with brand partners
Oversee campaign execution, compliance, and reporting
Track KPIs, conversions, and performance metrics
Prepare clear internal reporting on talent performance and campaign outcomes
Affiliate Management Division:
Build and lead 1AM’s affiliate management program across platforms such as LTK, Amazon, and ShopMy
Develop systems, processes, and best practices to support affiliate growth and reporting
Guide talent on affiliate strategy, optimization, and long-term monetization opportunities
Snapchat Programming:
Lead and scale 1AM’s Snapchat programming initiatives
Oversee onboarding, education, and ongoing support for talent participating in Snapchat monetization programs
Ensure consistent communication, execution, and performance tracking across Snapchat initiatives
Podcast Network:
Lead the launch and ongoing development of 1AM’s podcast network
Oversee talent onboarding, programming strategy, and operational workflows related to podcasts
Coordinate internally and externally to ensure successful execution, monetization, and growth of podcast offerings
Other:
Attend meetings, events, and key activations as needed
Travel as required for priority talent moments
Support launches, campaigns, and events that may occur evenings or weekends
Address issues or crises calmly, professionally, and efficiently
Qualifications
Experience
6–10+ years of hands-on talent management experience
Direct experience managing talent on the talent side (brand-only experience is not sufficient)
Prior experience leading teams or operating in a senior talent role strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead people, manage priorities, and make sound decisions
Comfortable setting expectations and holding others accountable
Strong operational instincts and attention to detail
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and creator monetization models
Highly organized with a systems-oriented mindset
Calm, decisive, and execution-focused
Comfortable in high-expectation, fast-moving environments
Values professiona
