2026 Operations Internship

Community Bridges is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Concord, NH and the Lakes Region. Community Bridges offers internships to students, graduate students, and recent graduates with demonstrated interest or experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Each internship includes an educational component, through which interns contextualize their experience and reflect on their service.

All internships are unpaid and correspond roughly with the US semester system.

Summer Internship: June 2026 – August 2026
Fall Internship: September 2026 – December 2026

First consideration is given to applicants that can commit at least 16 hours per week over the course of the semester outlined above. Applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of whether their schedule fits the semester system; Community Bridges makes exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Slots fill quickly and candidates are encouraged to apply earlier than the requested date above.

Please note that this internship will be a hybrid format, meaning that some in-person hours at our Concord, NH office are required.

Operations Internship Overview

The Operations Intern will work closely with Community Bridges COO to learn about and assist with operations initiatives that support teams across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Operation's involvement in project management and strategic planning at a growing non-profit. In this role, you will gain hands-on Operations skills such as process coordination, project management, and administrative support.

Responsibilities

Complete research on various tools and software to assist efficiency throughout the agency
Attend committee meetings, taking note of process changes and assisting in follow-up on action items
Assist in maintaining and improving operational processes by documenting steps, creating Excel trackers, identifying bottlenecks, and suggesting practical improvements
Conduct regular internal audits and data entry reviews with COO to ensure continued compliance
Manage operational project throughout the semester in one of the following areas:
Client profile data
Parent provider data
Emergency planning
Disaster recovery planning
Cybersecurity streamlining

Support reviewing state regulations and crosswalk the impact each regulation has on internal departmentsResearch federal laws and update internal policies to reflect legal changes as neededOther projects and duties as assigned and dependent upon intern's educational goals

Required Skills/Abilities

Interest in Operations and/or Business Administration
Interest in advocacy and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
Ability to work respectfully in a multicultural environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly organized with great attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks and to switch gears quickly
Professional, discretion, and maturity in dealing with confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Knowledge of DocuSign and/or database systems a plus
