Position: Executive Office Intern

Schedule: Full or Part Time (20-40 hours per week, unpaid internship)

Location: Washington, DC

The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its Executive Office (EO) team as an Executive Office Intern.

The intern will provide direct support to the EO team, assisting with various projects and needs related to CEPA’s President and CEO, Dr. Alina Polyakova. The EO team plays a critical role in coordinating efforts across all programs and operational aspects of the organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in executive support, nonprofit operations, and high-level organizational strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, research, and communication skills, along with a keen interest in transatlantic relations and nonprofit management. The candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the EO team with daily operations and special projects;
Help manage the President and CEO’s schedule, including preparing briefing materials;
Conduct research and draft correspondence on behalf of the EO team, as well as the Business Development team as necessary;
Support internal communication and coordination across CEPA’s programs and departments;
Assist with the planning and execution of highlevel meetings and events;
Assist with Dr. Polyakova’s social media planning
Collaborate with the EO team on strategic initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

Education:

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Business Administration);
Minimum junior or senior standing in undergraduate studies, or enrollment in a graduate program.

Skills:

Strong organizational and project management abilities;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Strong research and analytical skills;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams);
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

Interest and Knowledge:

Demonstrated interest in CEPA’s mission and focus areas, such as transatlantic relations, nonprofit management, or executive operations;
Basic knowledge of global and regional politics or public policy.

Professional Traits:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Team player with a proactive approach;
Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fastpaced environment.

Availability:

Commitment to three months, with agreedupon hours per week, between 2040 hours;
Ability to work in CEPA’s office or remotely, depending on role requirements.
