What can you expect from this role?

As a communications professional, you play an indispensable role in our daily operations. You stay connected to what is happening on the ground and translate the processes from our headquarters to our sites — and vice versa. You transform our mission and vision into a clear story and share it across our strategic channels. Thanks to you, our customers and partners know exactly what they can rely on us for.

Your creative approach elevates our communication from strategic to impactful. You regularly consult with different departments to identify communication needs and proactively look for solutions.

Your Responsibilities Include

Helping build our communication strategy, developing communication plans, and safeguarding the Altrad identity.
Introducing structure by contributing to processes and workflows.
Collaborating with our HR colleagues on employer branding campaigns tailored to both white‑ and blue‑collar profiles.
Responding flexibly to new ideas, ad‑hoc requests, and ongoing projects.
Managing our marketing and communication projects and following them through from concept to completion and evaluation.
Actively identifying Altrad stories and turning them into strong visual and written content for our internal and external channels.
Closely monitoring deadlines and working smoothly with colleagues in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as with external partners.
Participating in weekly meetings on priorities, progress and results, and travelling easily between our main offices in Rotterdam and Verrebroek.

Are you the colleague we are looking for?

You hold a master’s degree in Communication or Marketing and have experience with a variety of projects, both strategic and operational.
You are familiar with graphic tools such as Canva and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint). Experience with Adobe tools is an advantage.
You use a variety of AI tools responsibly and stay up to date with trends and new developments.
You have strong writing skills and can translate complex information into clear and accessible language. SEO and GEO are not “nice to have” extras — they are essential criteria for publication.
You use communication channels in a thoughtful way to reach our diverse stakeholders and target audiences.
You are creative and hands‑on, and you communicate effectively both internally and externally.
You are proactive and maintain oversight even during busy periods.
You work independently but also function well in a team. You are comfortable delegating, setting priorities, and guiding colleagues in a motivating and coaching manner.
You build connections easily, enjoy collaboration, and remain calm under pressure.
You are willing to travel regularly to maintain alignment between teams across our various sites in Belgium and the Netherlands.
You speak fluent Dutch and English. You also have a good command of French and/or are willing to take additional lessons if needed.

You also receive 20 statutory vacation days and 12 ADV days. There is no collective closure during the construction holiday period.
