Operations Support System Specialist (Functional) - Asset Management - 12 months+

2 days onsite London or Cardiff, 3 days from home

12 month extendable contract

We are looking for a Operations Support System Specialist focused on Asset Management to join a global Data Center company. You will provide day‑to‑day administration of EMEA asset, change, incident, and planned maintenance records.

The Role

1st Line System Support: Support data centres and centralised teams, publishes scheduled operational reports to stakeholders, and manages operational static data within ServiceNow, enabling consistency, traceability, and effective support
Asset & Configuration Administration: Manage EMEA asset and configuration records in ServiceNow across the full lifecycle (onboarding to decommissioning).
CMDB Governance & Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity; maintain ServiceNow as the single source of truth.
Operational Record Management: Support asset, change, incident, and maintenance records, ensuring smooth workflow progression.
Change, Incident & Maintenance Enablement: Provide accurate asset and dependency data to support operational activities.
Operational Data Management: Maintain and validate data for reporting, audits, and decision-making.
Reporting & Dashboards: Deliver regular reports, dashboards, audit evidence, and monthly operational metrics.
System Support: Provide first-line ServiceNow support, focusing on asset and CMDB functionality.
Finance & Commercial Support: Assist with cost tracking, depreciation, billing, and financial reconciliation.

Your Experience

2+ years experience with system administration and support, asset management, configuration management, or service operations.
Working knowledge of ITIL Asset & Configuration Management practices.
Knowledge of ServiceNow Asset Management and CMDB modules.
